Dear Sirs
Phillpots & Malam
I am obliged by your telegram this afternoon
and observe that you will complete this matter
on Thursday next,
I presume at 12:30.
I have obtained a copy of the
Rules of the Shepherds Society
which I see provide that the receipt for the discharge
of a mortgage or further charge
shall be in the form prescribed by schedule 3
of the 38 & 39th Vic. Cap 60?
It appears that Mr. Heath has been a trustee
of the Society ever since 1883
and I should think therefore
a receipt signed by him and the other two trustees
will be all that you require.
I have written to the Registrar of Friendly Societies
for a copy of the Certificate
and if I can obtain same by completion
I will produce it to you.
