    Catch Pen- Traps / Catches Seed Shrimps, Plannaria, Flat  Worms & Leeches
    A planaria is a non-parasitic flatworm that invades our shrimp tanks due to the lack of fish.
    They can effectively wipe out a shrimp colony slowly overtime attacking and eating any just molted and vulnerable shrimp. It is also possible for it to attack and injure a shrimp when the shrimp is eating and the planaria competes for it also. It has been noted it can even get under the shrimp’s shell injuring it fatally.
    Why use the
    Catch Pen
    ?
    Basically it is one of the best ways to remove planaria without chemicals or medication due to shrimp’s sensitivity to them. Also of the planaria’s amazing ability to regenerate lost body parts and even  totally severed parts becoming a new worm also, it makes it really impossible to eliminate via physically removing them from the tank one by one. If you squish the worm while removing it with a tweezer or net and it becomes 10 pieces, those 10 pieces can become 10 more worms of different sizes.
    While with the trap you literally trap hundreds overnight in this little pen without risking of spreading the worm and causing a bigger outbreak. They will just crawl in and get trapped in there overnight.
    Method of Use:
    Just before the lights goes out, bait the trap and gently place it on top of the substrate giving it a gentle push to settle in and not allow any shrimplets to be able to crawl in.
    Next day, take out trap. Simple!
