Description
A remarkable find of NOS Monsanto (and a few Texas Instruments) 7-segment LED displays from the late 70s-early 80s. New, never soldered, and not pulls from vintage equipment. Bright, 0.3-inch digits in 645-650nm red light. 3.4-3.6V, common-anode device. These were bulk-stored out of original packaging, and may have light marks and hairlines on the face (which are easily polished out), but are otherwise fully functional. Interestingly, these are similar to the LEDs that were used in the Pulsar LED watches of the early 70s (but here, using two LED bars per segment, instead of only one, as in the watches). These make stunning, vintage-look desk clocks (the MM5311 and MM5314 were the chips of choice at the time). Buy six and get a 15% discount and free shipping (for the purists, I even have a few sets of six with identical date codes...see pics). When these are gone, there are no more (probably anywhere). I would be willing to entertain offers on the entire lot.I can provide a pinout on these, if needed.
International shipping calculated according to destination.
NOTE
: The two sets of clear-encapsulated units are now sold.
