    Description

    OFFERED ... a pair of fluted (ruffled) art glass plates from the Designer Collection by Lefton, Japan; circa 1994.
    The plates are clear glass decorated with a pink-and-green dogwood-style floral design and gilt accents at the fluted rim.
    The larger plate measures 9" in diameter; smaller plate measures 6" in diameter.
    The original labels are still affixed.  Both plates also carry a hallmark on the plate itself that reads, "Lefton ©1994" with the Lefton logo.
    I acquired the plates several years ago with the intention of selling them.
    I have listed them as "New other (see details)" because they still had the original labels affixed, but they were pre-owned.  They have been stored and unused by me for display or otherwise.  They are in very good condition
    .  In doing some research on them, I discovered other Designer Collection plates.  One that was very similar--that is, with pink florals in a similar style--were attributed to designer Michio Suzuki.  I am unsure whether these are his designs or not.  They are lovely, stand-alone pieces that could be used for decorative display or as serving pieces for special occasions including bridal and wedding events.
