    Lovely vintage Russian brooch with a beautifully hand painted design of a colorful bird hovering above lush flowers against a dark brown background. Oval in shape, the pin is made of a wood that has been lacquered over the painting and it measures 2 3/8" long and 1 1/2" wide. The quarter is for a sizing reference. It is artist signed on the backside along with what looks like "1995". It is in gently used vintage condition. Purchased at an estate sale where the occupants looked it have done much of traveling over their lifetime. Lovely brooch to add to your collection!
